Two interviews and a book review

I was just told that two interviews I did on Zita Christian’s Page 1 can now be seen on You Tube. One is on my book Married Women Who Love Women and the other is on A Writer’s Journey: What to Know Before, During, and After Writing a Book. Each interview is segmented into 3 parts…

Also, A Writer’s Journey was reviewed by Melissa Gaskill in the June 11, 2011 edition of the ASJA Monthly, (American Society of Journalists and Authors ) on page 18.

IWWG 34th Annual Summer Conference

I am happy to announce that I will be a workshop director for the International Women’s Writing Guild’s 34th Annual Summer Conference which will be held from June 24-July 1, 2011.

One of my workshops will be based on my book, A Writer’s Journey: What to Know Before, During, and After Writing a Book and will tell you what to know from finding a place of your own in which to write, to dealing with the mounds of paper that are unavoidable, to writer’s block and on to marketing your published book. It will also cover everything in-between.

Another will be a fun course on improving your photography. We’ll be going on a “shoot” around the campus and then discussing how the photos can be improved with simple composition adjustments. This course is based on the information I picked up will doing stock photography for many years.

The conference will be held at Yale University where forty separate workships will be offered each day. It will be open to all women regardless of professional portfolio.

Please check it out on www.iwwg.org

The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition National Art Show March

The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition is pleased to announce their National Art Show March 12-27, 2011.  Juror Nathan Trotman, Curator of the Guggenheim Museum, selected 141pieces from almost 1583 entries and I am thrilled to announce that mine was one of the chosen. The grand opening will be held on March 12, 1-6PM at 499 Van Brunt Street, Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY.

BWAC’s 25,000 square foot gallery is in a Civil War-era warehouse on the waterfront. The vista of New York Harbor, spanning the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge is one of the best in the city.
